Dr. Heather Crawford

Meet Dr. Crawford

Dr. Heather Crawford was born and raised in Toms River, NJ and attended and graduated from Toms River HS North in 1988.  She continued her education at Wesley College in Dover, De where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology in 1992.  She then attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and graduated as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1996.  She was then lucky enough to be awarded a residency position at the VA-Palo Alto, California (with cooperation with Stanford University) where she completed a 2 year program with emphasis on Primary Podiatric Medicine and Podiatric Surgery.  While attending residency, Dr. Crawford helped to form the Vietnam Medical Mission and spent 3 weeks in Danang, Vietnam, volunteering at a local hospital where limb saving and life altering procedures were performed on many local residents.

Upon completing residency in the summer of 1998, Dr. Crawford moved back to her home town and began working with another doctor but within the next year she began her own practice in Tuckerton, NJ.  She is board certified in Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. 

Dr. Crawford splits her time between her office, The Wound Care Center at Southern Ocean Medical Center as well as at Seacrest Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

When not at work, you will find Dr. Crawford either at the gym working out since she is an avid exercise enthusiast or you will find her spending time with her family.  Dr. Crawford has been married for almost 20 years and has 2 beautiful daughters and she feels that family is the most important thing as tomorrow is never promised.
Dr. Heather Crawford is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed her surgical residency at the VA-Palo Alto and Stanford University in California. Upon completing residency, she moved back to her home town of Toms River and then began her practice here in South Jersey in 1998.

Dr. Crawford is on staff at the local nursing and rehabilitaion facility as well as a staff physician and the Wound Care Center at Southern Ocean Medical Center.

Dr. Crawford treats all types of conditions of the foot and ankle for patients of all ages.
